Collection: Pro 44 Rear Axle

A beefed-up ProRock 44 rear is well-suited for Jeeps on 33″ to 37″ tires who tackle tough trails but still use the Jeep as a daily driver or light overlander. It’s popular with those who want to save weight, money, and keep a low profile (stock-ish appearance) while reliably running moderate trails. For example, a Rubicon JK on 35s or 37s can greatly benefit from the 35-spline/ARB upgrade – it addresses the factory rear axle’s tendency to snap shafts or spider gears under shock load. The Dynatrac rear 44 is also a great match for a ProRock 44 front in a balanced build: both ends retain 5-lug wheels, maintain excellent clearance, and can handle similar tire sizes. Generally, if you are planning to stay at 37″ tire max and don’t have a big V8 or a lead foot, building your rear 44 to Dynatrac specs is a smart move. It’ll reliably handle rock crawling in Moab, logging trails, mud pits, and climbs like Hell’s Gate without the need to jump to a heavier 60. However, if you want to go larger than 37–38″ tires, carry very heavy loads, or bounce your Jeep in hardcore rock gardens, Dynatrac (and we) would nudge you toward a ProRock 60 or 80 rear for the extra ring gear size and full-float strength.
